Keith M. Yankow

Born and raised in West Long Branch, New Jersey, a bike ride away from the beach and an hour commute south of New York City, I was the youngest of three boys.  My political skills as high school class president for three years were honed with a B.A. degree in Political Science from American University in Washington, D.C.  I married Robin and after graduating in 1983 from Western New England College School of Law in Springfield, MA, I began practicing mostly in real estate litigation in a five attorney office in Storrs, Connecticut and teaching part time at local community colleges. After working with industrial and commercial real estate clients for a solo practitioner in Hauppauge, NY, we moved in 1986 to Nantucket where I started my office.

I am a Massachusetts Land Court Title Examiner; admitted to practice law in the states of Massachusetts, Connecticut and New York, United States Tax Court and Massachusetts and Connecticut Federal District Courts; Member of American and Massachusetts Bar Associations, Massachusetts Real Estate Bar,  Member and former President and Treasurer of the Nantucket Bar Association.

Member and former President of the Rotary Club of Nantucket.  Member of Nantucket Chamber of Commerce.  Volunteer coach at Nantucket Ice teaching toddlers since 2006.  To encourage myself to keep active and healthy, I studied and passed the exam from the National Academy of Sports Medicine in 2010 to be a certified personal trainer.  In 2011, I was appointed Commissioner of the Nantucket Parks and Recreation Commission. Other passions include skiing, sailing, Springsteen and cooking.
